Treatment Options for Canine Elbow Dysplasia

The treatment of elbow dysplasia in a dog depends on the final definitive diagnosis. Conservative management using pain medications and holistic treatments can be used plaintively, but fail to address the underlying problem. Stem cell therapy has been used and may block inflammation but has no chance of resurfacing areas of cartilage erosion. Many surgical treatments can be performed arthroscopically based on the dogs diagnosed disease of:

  • Fragmented Medial Coronoid
  • Medial Compartment Disease
  • Sliding Humeral Osteotomy
  • Osteochondritis Dessicans
  • Ununited Anconeal Process
